SupaPop Studios and the marvelous mascots of SupaPop City are proud to be sponsoring The Japanese Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California as they host their 19th annual “Oshogatsu in Little Tokyo” on January 1, 2017.

This event was started in 1998 to introduce members of the Japanese American community and the general American public to the wonderful traditions of the New Year Celebration in Japan. In conjunction with many different community organizations, the JCCAC has already started working hard to make 2017 the very best Oshogatsu event ever!!!! 

Free SupaPop stickers will be made available on a first come, first serve basis. In addition, the souvenir program guide will also be given away featuring art from the official poster designed by Sean Danconia. Check it out in and around around Little Tokyo. The event will begin on Jan. 1st at 11am and end at 4pm. Location is Weller Court in Little Tokyo located at 123 Astronaut E S Onizuka St, Los Angeles, California 90012.

True Believers - get ready for the official brand launch of the new SupaPop collection at the Grand Re-Opening of the FYEFor Your Entertainment retail store in Montebello Town Center, located in sunny Los Angeles, California! The launch will take place on Dec 4-6th where artist-extraordinaire, 'Smiling Sean Danconia will be on hand to meet guests, autograph art and live paint during the 3-day event.

Artist/designer Sean Danconia's dynamic take on the comic and animation worlds has made him a household name among art aficionados and Pop-Culture tastemakers. Recent exhibitions of his work include Disney's Wonderground Gallery (Disneyland® Resort), Mouche Gallery, Hero Complex and Sotheby’s.

The SupaPop (and associated Super·Pulp) universe(s) to debut at FYE is Danconia's latest hyper-inventive imagination explosion—double explanation mark!! Inspired and set in the multi-pop-cultural city of Supa-Fab San Fran, Danconia's vision masterfully superglues Gaming, Comics, Anime, Cinema and Music into an epic adventure of stupendous proportions. 

Aimed at a world-wide-web of tweens, teens and children of all ages - SupaPop rolls-out a range of catapulting categories which FYE will be first to the market with — including apparel, accessories, home furnishings, toys/collectibles, gaming and apps. ALSO! Fashion masters, the Merry Mighty Fine Supa Society, (aka Mighty Fine) is heading up the apparel development, with an exclusive collection for FYE showcasing daring Danconia’s array of kawaii characters and east meets west “Pop-Fusion” art stylization.
 
In addition, Danconia will be debuting a fine-art collection, along his newest mixed-media original painting – MIGHTY REBEL – which will be on display at FYE for the duration of the event, and will feature an array of SupaPop characters amongst other inspirations. The product and art release will begin Dec 4th, when Danconia will be on hand from 7-9pm signing prints and meeting fans, and then on Saturday and Sunday from 12-5pm each day.
